Our Mission at Kanaparu, Andhra State

At Kanaparu in Andhra State, the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo are committed to serving children from very poor and vulnerable backgrounds through a dedicated boarding care ministry. Guided by our charism and inspired by Gospel values, we strive to provide these children with a safe, nurturing, and life-giving environment where they can grow with dignity and hope.

Many of the children who come to our boarding facility are first-generation learners and face serious economic and social challenges. Through our boarding home, we ensure regular education, nutritious food, personal care, and moral guidance, helping children experience stability and security that are often missing in their lives.

Beyond meeting basic needs, we focus on the holistic development of each child. Along with academic support, children are encouraged to develop good habits, discipline, self-confidence, and values that will help them face life’s challenges. Special attention is given to personal mentoring, emotional well-being, and character formation.

Our presence at Kanaparu goes beyond institutional care. We walk closely with the families and the local community, supporting children with love and commitment so that they may grow into responsible, confident, and self-reliant individuals.

Through this boarding ministry, the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo continue to be a source of hope at Kanaparu—offering poor children not just shelter and education, but a chance for a brighter and more dignified future.
