At Pattimuttam in Kerala State, the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo are dedicated to serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), responding to their unique needs with love, patience, and professional care. Inspired by our charism and guided by a deep respect for the dignity of every child, we strive to create an environment where each child is accepted, understood, and nurtured.
Through our specialized centre, we provide individualized care, structured learning, and therapeutic support to children with autism. Our programmes focus on enhancing communication, social interaction, and daily living skills, enabling children to grow in confidence and independence at their own pace.
In addition to education and therapy, we offer skill-based activities that help children develop their abilities and discover their strengths. These activities encourage creativity, self-expression, and basic vocational skills, empowering the children and preparing them for greater independence in daily life.
Our mission at Pattimuttam also extends to accompanying families. We work closely with parents and caregivers, offering guidance, encouragement, and emotional support as they journey with their children. By fostering understanding and inclusion, we aim to build a supportive community that recognizes the potential and worth of every child.
Through this ministry, the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo continue to be a sign of hope and healing at Pattimuttam—affirming that every child, regardless of ability, is precious and capable of growth when nurtured with love and care.
